The Mint - Hearing the title "The Mint", may be instantly reminded of one type of candy or fruit Mint. But not the same as the one in Sydney. Therefore, The Mint is a museum. Nor is it unusual museum, because it provided all the facilities needed to support science and entertainment. The location is at 10 Macquarie St, Sydney, NSW 2000.

The museum is open every day from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 until 17:00, built in a building next to the south wing of the Sydney Hospital. Here, once found a lot of gold continues to be mined until exhausted. After that, the land was used as a hospital building circa 1811 to 1816. Then, in 1926, was converted into The Mint since the newly established Commonwealth Mint in Canberra, after a couple of staff and deputy Mint occupy this building. Since then, the building was eventually accommodate a lot of government departments and the courts sydney in it.

Subsequently, in 1998, The Mint finally officially opened to the public and transformed into the Historic Houses Trust, to keep a variety of historical significance that have occurred in it. Since this is an older building, so here is done redevelopment or renovation in 2004 while maintaining the historical value contained therein. The new building is designed with a more contemporary, proportionate, and structured more artistic.

There is also a cafe on the veranda that serves cool air with a fresh wind blowing on my face while enjoying a cup of hot coffee. Furthermore, there is also an exhibition space with a maximum facility of the award-winning National Meetings & Events Industry Awards Specialty Venue Award in 2009. Because here has been named as one of the HHT, then The Mint is also used as the main office of the Historic Houses Trust.
